Last updated: June 10, 2026 · Effective immediately

Section 01

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Within Wild website (withinwild.ca), making a booking, or participating in any Within Wild experience, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use our services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Guest," "you," "your") and Within Wild ("Within Wild," "we," "us," "our"), operated by Howe Sound Services, Britannia Beach, British Columbia, Canada.

By completing a booking, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms, our Cancellation Policy, and our Privacy Policy.

Section 02

Eligibility & Minors

You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking or enter into these Terms. Guests between the ages of 16 and 17 may participate in Within Wild experiences only when accompanied by and under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian who has accepted these Terms on their behalf.

Children under 16 are not permitted to participate in sauna or cold-plunge activities due to physiological sensitivity to extreme temperatures. This policy is non-negotiable and is in place for guest safety.

By making a booking, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age, or the parent/guardian of a minor in your party
  • You have the legal authority to enter into this agreement
  • All information you provide is accurate and complete

Section 03

Bookings & Payments

All bookings are subject to availability. A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation email from Within Wild. Receipt of a booking submission does not guarantee confirmation.

Payment Options: We offer two payment options at booking:

  • 50% Deposit: A non-refundable deposit securing your session, with the remaining balance collected at or before the session date.
  • Full Payment: Full booking value collected at time of booking.

All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and are subject to 5% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Payment is processed securely via Stripe. Within Wild does not store your full payment card details.

Pricing: Prices are as listed on the website at the time of booking. Within Wild reserves the right to adjust pricing at any time; however, confirmed bookings will not be subject to price increases after confirmation.

Gift Cards: Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, are non-refundable, and cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift cards can be applied toward any available booking.

Section 04

Cancellations & Refunds

Our cancellation terms are governed by our Cancellation Policy, incorporated into these Terms by reference. Key terms:

  • 72+ hours before session: Full refund
  • 48–72 hours before session: 50% refund
  • Less than 48 hours: No refund; session forfeited
  • No-show: No refund; session forfeited

Rescheduling is free at any time before your session, subject to availability.

Within Wild reserves the right to cancel sessions due to weather, fire bans, maintenance issues, or other safety concerns. In such cases, guests receive a full refund or the option to reschedule.

Section 05

Rules of Conduct

All guests are expected to behave respectfully toward staff, other guests, the natural environment, and the facilities. Within Wild reserves the right to refuse service to, or remove from the premises, any guest who violates these rules — without refund.

You agree to:

  • Follow all staff instructions promptly and without argument
  • Respect posted temperature and time limits for sauna and cold plunge use
  • Not bring or consume alcohol, cannabis, or controlled substances on the premises
  • Shower before entering the sauna
  • Use a towel on all sauna benches at all times
  • Respect the natural marine environment — no littering, no disruption of wildlife
  • Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or injuries to staff immediately
  • Not bring food or beverages into the sauna unit
  • Not bring glass containers of any kind onto the floating platform
Our facility is a wellness space. Please maintain a calm, respectful atmosphere. Excessive noise that disrupts other guests will result in removal from the premises.

Section 06

Health & Safety

Sauna and cold plunge activities involve exposure to extreme temperatures and are physically demanding. It is your responsibility to assess your own physical fitness and consult a physician before participating if you have any medical conditions.

You must not participate if you have any of the following conditions without prior written clearance from a licensed physician:

  • Cardiovascular disease, heart conditions, or irregular heartbeat
  • High or low blood pressure
  • Pregnancy
  • Epilepsy or seizure disorders
  • Respiratory conditions affecting breathing
  • Active skin infections, open wounds, or communicable skin conditions
  • Fever, acute illness, or post-surgery recovery
  • A diagnosis that causes sensitivity to temperature extremes

Alcohol and drug use before or during your session significantly increases risk of injury and is strictly prohibited. Any guest appearing impaired will be refused entry without refund.

A first aid kit and emergency communication equipment are maintained on-site. Staff are trained in first aid. Emergency services (BC Ambulance/RCMP) can be reached via phone and we maintain emergency contact protocols for our marine location.

Section 07

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law in the Province of British Columbia, Within Wild, its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any injury, illness, death, loss, or damage arising from your participation in our experiences, including but not limited to:

  • Personal injury caused by use of the sauna, cold plunge, floating platform, or surrounding waters
  • Illness resulting from temperature exposure
  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Incidents arising from failure to follow staff instructions or posted safety rules
  • Weather-related incidents beyond our reasonable control

Our total liability to you under these Terms shall in no event exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific booking giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct, as required by applicable British Columbia law.

By completing a booking, you acknowledge that you have separately signed (or agree to sign) our Guest Waiver & Release of Liability, which forms part of the conditions of your booking.

Section 08

Intellectual Property

All content on the Within Wild website — including but not limited to text, photographs, graphics, logos, brand elements, and the "Within Wild" name and mark — is the intellectual property of Within Wild or its licensed contributors and is protected by applicable Canadian and international copyright and trademark laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Within Wild content without prior written permission.

Section 09

Privacy & Data

We collect personal information — including your name, email, phone number, and emergency contact — to facilitate your booking, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share data with:

  • Stripe: For secure payment processing

Our practices are governed by Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable British Columbia privacy legislation.

Section 10

Communications & Emails

By making a booking, you consent to receive transactional emails related to your booking, including confirmation, waiver links, reminders, and a post-visit review request. These communications are necessary to fulfil our service obligations and cannot be opted out of for active bookings.

You may opt out of any non-transactional marketing communications by clicking the unsubscribe link in any such email or contacting us directly.

Section 11

Modifications to Terms

Within Wild reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. For bookings made before a change in Terms, the Terms in effect at the time of booking will apply to that specific booking. Continued use of our website or services following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Section 12

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of British Columbia, Canada.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
